Advance Guarding provide a complete Key-holding & Alarm Response Service to ensure that our customer’s employees are not called to site unnecessarily in the middle of the night.
By safeguarding a set of your keys, we are on-call for any emergency response services that you require, 24 hours a day. Keys are stored, unmarked, at our Control Room or mobile unit, in accordance with regulatory standards.
Throughout the dark hours and at weekends, Advance Guarding Mobile Officers are awake and alert, ready to respond to any alarm activation or call out at your premises. Don’t put yourself or your staff in danger in the middle of the night. By employing Advance Guarding to be your key holder, one of our trained Security Guards will deal with any situation from a simple reset of the alarm system, to a potentially dangerous occurrence.

On receiving a call from the monitoring station we despatch a security officer to inspect the premises and once there, carry out an external patrol to ensure there are no signs of a break-in. If there is, we will call the police, enter the premises and investigate.
As part of our key holding service, we liaise with your emergency repair company or coordinate our own teams to re-secure the premises, including repairing or replacing locks, to minimise disruption to your business.
If there are no signs of a break-in we enter the building and identify what has triggered the alarm, liaising with your alarm engineer for any re-set codes, staying at the premises until the alarm has been set and the building armed and locked.

What we do

How we do it

Benefits of our Key-Holding Service
- Alarm Activation – On receiving the alarm call from a monitoring station, a local patrol vehicle is dispatched to identify the problem and act accordingly to secure the premises.
- Break-ins– if notified of a break-in, we will attend your property and check for the intruder. We can liaise with the police and stay on-site until the property is secured.
- Floods, gas leaks and power outages– if there is a flood, gas leak or power outage we will attend for safety and security and arrange for a relevant engineer to remedy the situation.
- Prowlers and vandals– if your staff feel threatened because of prowlers or vandals, we can attend, contact the relevant emergency service and provide escorts to or from vehicles as well as maintain a security presence on-site until the situation is resolved

Lone Worker Security Escort
In addition, we can provide your designated Key-Holder with a safe escort in the middle of the night. We can escort your lone worker, both on and off site and can assist your staff in identifying the reason for the alarm activation and help them re-secure the premises when required. All events and outcomes are logged by our control room and reported to our client. All the keys we hold for our clients are kept in a secure safe within the response vehicle and the keys are uniquely coded so they do not identify or link to specific addresses.
Open and Close Services
Open and close services are ideal for the customer who can’t always be available to open and close their premises each day. This service not only relieves the pressure of responsibility on staff who are uncomfortable to be left on their own with this job, but also gives peace of mind for the owner, knowing their business is open on time and secured every day.
